Combat Application Tourniquet (C-A-T)

Took it apart and put it back together a few times to practice, and the new single routing buckle really does cut down the fumbling when you're in a hurry. Windlass is solid and holds tight once you lock it. Glad I don't have to think about whether it'll do the job if it ever comes down to it.

I keep one in my range bag and one in the car, and the new buckle really does shave off a few critical seconds when I’m practicing one-handed application. It’s reassuring knowing the Army’s own testing backs the 100% occlusion rate on both arms and legs. Sturdier than the old model I had, too.

The new single routing buckle is a game-changer—I timed myself and got it secured in under 20 seconds during a drill. It cinches down tight on both my arm and leg without slipping, and the windlass stays put once locked.
